Systems Analyst (Salesforce.com)

MarkLogic is looking for a strategic and hands-on Systems Analyst to plan and analyze our business systems by gathering business systems requirements, develop and document business processes, and conduct appropriate system changes or enhancements.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of skill and experience in translating user and business requirements into workable systems processes and solutions, as well as demonstrate experience in customization, scripting and participation in the integration of multiple systems.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the CFO, you will work collaboratively across the company with teams that include IT, Legal, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services to plan and analyze our business systems.
  • Configure, administer, and support systems including Salesforce.com and NetSuite. Create or update page layouts and record types, update standard and custom fields, create validation rules, and customize to meet specific business requirements. Test the applications regularly to ensure the systems meet requirements. Enable existing/future business processes and key reporting through the applications.
  • Develop and deliver user training on applications and processes as they relate to the systems including new functionality, configuration, and workflow. Develop helpful tools (i.e. FAQ’s, training overview) and provide documentation to support training activities. Provide technical advice and support to users across the company.
  • Design, create, edit and maintain reports and dashboards for both end user reporting and system audits (data quality, usage, etc.) as defined by business requirements. Suggest improvements for efficiency and effectiveness of procedures, processes and tools where appropriate.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, MIS, CS, or related 
  • Previous experience in full cycle implementation, customization, and administration of Salesforce.com as well as ERP and SaaS systems (i.e SAP, Siebel, Oracle Financials, NetSuite)
  • Experience translating business requirements into workable system functionalities and processes 
  • Previous involvement in the decision making of best-approaches for technical architecture/structure (including customization, scripts, and integration) 
  • Experience in working according to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) policies and controls 
  • Programming or scripting experience (i.e. Java, C#, J2EE, HTML, SQL, Perl, Python)
  • Strong analytical skills to perform needs analysis as described, along with the ability to develop and implement actionable work plans to meet organizational needs
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and technical writing skills, presentation/facilitation skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively across business units with diverse work styles to develop business requirements for systems applications 
  • Excellent organizational skills, strict attention to detail, and time management skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and strict deadlines
