The company’s flagship product, MarkLogic Server, is used by customers to enable a wide variety of information applications including custom publishing, search-based applications, content analytics, unified information access, metadata catalogs, and threat intelligence systems. MarkLogic is headquartered in San Carlos, California with field offices in New York, Washington, DC, London, Boston, Austin, and Frankfurt.

We are looking for a Financial Services Account Executive to be responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives by working with providers of information products to accelerate new product creation, deliver products through multiple channels, integrate content from different sources, repurpose content into multiple products, build custom publishing systems, and to search-and-discover previously unknown information.

Local candidates only, no relocation (Greater New York City area).


Qualifications

  • 5+ years sales experience, ideally selling to large financial institutions
  • Experience successfully meeting and exceeding a direct sales quota of 2M
  • Strong understanding of, and experience with, a minimum of three of the following: XML/XQuery, Content Management Systems (CMS), Database technologies (as a standalone product, not as integrated with a CMS or other technology), financial services software
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge of banking processes (derivatives, securities, etc.) is a plus
  • Prior experience selling enterprise software is desirable
  • Established relationships with IT executives at, or businesses that partner with, large financial firms or major banks is ideal
