The Inventory Planner is responsible for creating, planning and managing all finished goods inventory items to meet financial goals, the demand plan and customer service support. Planner will work with the internal demand planner to ensure on-hand inventory is available for demand with built in safety stock. Planner will work with production planners (internal and external) to communicate need by items and quantities to meet the finished goods inventory levels and will demonstrate consistent flexibility in contributing to the success of Torani by utilizing their skills to:

  • Developing a finished goods inventory strategy
  • Developing on-hand inventory level parameters (including safety stock)
  • Creating detailed supply planning and managing inventory levels
  • Communication with internal team members on requirements and information sharing
  • Developing and measuring inventory levels and inventory service performance through KPI’s for continuous improvement
  • Ensure continuity of finished goods to meet the demand plan
  • Adaptability to customer fluctuations or special requests/promotions 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in systematic lot control receiving
  • Direct communication with production planners at multiple co-pack locations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in production planning and inventory planning

What the successful candidate will bring to Torani:

  • BA or BS 
  • 10+ years of experience of inventory planning (raw material, production planning, finished goods planning, etc.)
  • 5+ years working with lot controlled inventory, preferably in food or beverage
  • Experience working with internal and external production / manufacturing (co-packers)
  • Experience managing an overall demand plan
  • Experience working with Oracle or other type of ERP system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle work with minimal supervision
  • Customer service experience that includes phone, email, and face-to-face interaction
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office programs
  • Seeking an individual with an interest and capabilities to handle larger roles within the company
