Maintenance Engineering Supervisor

The Maintenance Engineering Supervisor will repair, install, adjust, and maintain production and processing machinery, and supervise like activities in Torani’s industrial plant. The following specifications include the ability to read and interpret, drawings, manuals, schematic drawings, and ladder logic while delivering results in a manner consistent with the Torani Core Values.
  • Effectively disassemble/reassemble equipment to remove defective parts and make necessary repairs to restore equipment to optimal performance.
  • Plan and perform preventative maintenance routines and tasks
  • Effectively troubleshoot repair and/or replace broken or malfunctioning components of plant equipment.
  • Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
  • Examine electrical and mechanical parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear. Order such parts.
  • Reassembly of equipment after completion of inspections, testing, planned or unplanned repairs.
  • Listen and visually observe the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
  • Assist with installing and repairing electrical apparatus such as transformers, control and line wiring, as well as electrical and electronic components.
  • Troubleshoot controls, PLC’s, single-phase, three-phase, AC, DC circuits, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Assist in design and fabrication of parts.
  • Adhere to all Quality and GMP requirements.
  • Supervise other in like activities
  • Other duties as assigned.

What the successful candidate will bring to Torani:
  • BA/BS in Engineering/Quality Assurance/or related fields
  • 10 Years experience in this type and level of position
  • Working knowledge of algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions
  • Ability to use a PC
  • Demonstrated experience reading drawings, ladder logic, mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Demonstrated ability using power and hand tools
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form
  • Demonstrated experience with preventative maintenance systems
  • Ability to physically perform duties
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Working knowledge of AC, DC, 1 & 3 phase circuits.
  • Working knowledge of electrical tools and meters.
