The Opportunity
Compete is seeking a dynamic Sales Leader with proven experience developing and building a world class sales team. The SVP, Sales will play a critical role in helping the company achieve the next level us success by helping to both increase market share of our key products and services and ensure a long term competitive edge.
The SVP of Sales will drive the company’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals. He/she is responsible for the direction and management of all sales operations including attainment of quarterly and annual sales goals, pricing, compensation and sales strategies from a global perspective.
The position reports directly to Compete’s President and serves as a key member of the Compete Executive team helping to lead the company’s mission, vision and values.

Key Accountabilities
The SVP, Global Sales, will drive increased revenue from our vertical and inside sales teams by developing and implementing sales strategies and processes to support explosive and scalable growth.
•Recruit and develop a team of dynamic and success-driven digital sales professionals
•Define and build the mid-long term vision and sales positioning for all Compete solutions both nationally and within European markets
•Continue to define and tweak pricing for Compete’s product and service offerings
•Oversee overall strategy, implementation, and sales team execution for all acquisition of new customers
•Identify new sales verticals, channel and partnership opportunities
•Be a key contributor of the Compete Executive Team, lead by example and contribute to the company’s culture and spirit
•Partner with client services, product, data and research to deliver the best possible solutions for the client
•Develop plans and strategies to achieve the company’s aggressive sales goals
•Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
•Define and establish sales compensation plans and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
•Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
•Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
•Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team
•Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful lead generation programs
•Develop and manage relationships with key customers and participate in closing strategic opportunities
Candidate Profile
As a sales professional, you have 10+ years of experience in relevant positions and environments, ideally in digital marketing intelligence, with both direct experience selling and building and managing sales teams. You have experience designing and carrying out effective sales compensation and incentive plans, and developing and executing sales strategies, ideally in multiple channels. You have the command and presence to engage and compel the business leaders and executives of current and prospective clients. Ideally, you should have experience managing an international sales team; if not, you have the skills and ambition necessary to manage global expansion and sales efforts, operating on the global stage.
You have demonstrated multiple successes in sales leadership and execution, building and/or managing high-performance sales teams, at growing and evolving companies in high growth sectors. You have experience and thrive in entrepreneurial environments.
