Reporting to the Senior Producer, this role is for someone who understands that things are just now getting warmed up in the social gaming space. Those who revel in responsibility, have a passion for their work, and possess a true desire to see their efforts make shockwaves across the globe will thrive in this role. Hot Shot Media is a vibrant, new company that leverages images, social media and analytic technologies in a completely new way. This fulltime position is based in San Francisco. Salary and an attractive benefit structure (including potential for profit sharing and stock options) will be negotiable, extremely competitive and commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Producer with all aspects of production 
  • Collaborate with the entire Hot Shot team in order to help create and otherwise resource wonderfully compelling play experiences for a massive, global audience centered around photography
  • Create highly detailed wireframes, flowcharts, and functional specifications that can be handed off to, and worked off of by, developers based all around the world 
  • Oversee and work to expand a social network using all avenues possible to make it easy for people to communicate their Hot Shot experiences and activities to others.
  • Oversee all QA efforts 
  • Play a key role in identifying usage patterns as well as in maximizing user engagement by being highly engaged in the metrics for our project. If something is not working it will be the Associate Producer’s job to quickly identify why, design something better, and oversee its creation and implementation
  • Help manage a virtual economy


Requirements:

  • Proven game design skills and a true understanding of the concepts of ‘play’ and ‘fun’ (Not necessarily the nuts and bolts of how to make a video game, but the actual concepts behind successfully engaging people) 
  • Previous experience with social gaming. If you play games on social networks that’s great; if you have experiencing running one (or more) that’s even better
  • Ideally you would have an in-depth understanding of virtual goods, virtual currency, and the concept of micro-transactions
  • The ability to be a team leader and to have passion and foresight for a project 
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a top-notch university and/or significant real-world experience in the production and oversight of a social/casual game with a virtual goods component and a virtual currency
  • Be awesome
