Sycamore Springs Van Driver Position
Sycamore Springs is a 48-bed behavioral hospital located in Lafayette, IN. The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment to adults, adolescents and their families. ​The Van Driver is an important position for our hospital, as you will transport patients to and front our outpatient treatments. The hours for the position are Monday - Friday, from 6:00 am -12:30 pm. This position will also assist with some housekeeping and light grounds work between shuttle times.

Position Details:
  • Responsible for the safety and timely transportation of patients from various locations and facilities to Changes.
  • maintain a daily log of mileage and gasoline usage
  • Assure the vehicle is presentable for the transport of patients. 
  • Responsible for supervising patients; safety is maintained at all times; and patients are treated with respect and dignity.
  • High School diploma, GED or combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Valid Driver’s License favorable Motor Vehicle Record with no major violations in the past 2 years along with proof of insurance.
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training CPI within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
Preferred Experience: 
  • At least (1) year experience driving 8-12 passenger vans professionally preferred.
