Job Title:            Sheet Metal Foreman / Superintendent

SUMMARY:  Demonstrates extraordinary professional leadership qualities with regard to the coordination and management of projects.  Maintain schedule, productivity, and overall project profitability by adhering to the policies, principles, and core values of HPE. 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
  • Assist Project Manager and Labor Manager in developing specific project schedules
  • Participate in any pre-planning/phasing meetings
  • Review all CAD drawings and spool sheets to verify correctness and buildability
  • Drive budgets and profit by reviewing job specifications, submittal book and project cost reports
  • Monitor, track, and resolve issues to ensure performance on project and prevention on future projects; Advise Labor Managers, project managers of potential issues, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc.
  • Perform take offs, submit appropriate requisitions, and direct the release of tools/equipment
  • Leading and supervising crew by communicating job expectations, identifying developmental opportunities for crew and provide input to employee performance appraisals
  • Hold crew members accountable to roles and responsibilities by delegation and follow up on assigned responsibilities while enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Lead strong project closeout by managing jobsite clean ups, completing and documenting punch lists and initiating start up with appropriate parties
  • Regularly track, report and drive productivity, as well as assign schedules
  • Continuously work to improve the process and/or product through analysis of metrics that track safety, quality and productivity
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, external customers, and employees
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Current construction standards, methods, procedures, sequencing, scheduling, tools and equipment
  • Mechanical Systems. Machine maintenance, mechanics, and repair
  • Welding and in-depth tool and machine operation
  • Fabrication of metal products
  • Management of projects on-time, on-budget, with exceptional quality and safety
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience of increasing responsibility and technical progression of commercial installation projects
  • 5 years of commercial Project Foreman experience
  • Leading and facilitating safety programs
