ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Plan and Coordinate Job Site Activities to Meet Construction Schedule by:
  • Assist Project Manager and Labor Manager in developing specific project schedules as coordinated with overall construction schedule
  • Order, receive and inventory material, equipment, and tools
  • Participate in any pre-planning/phasing meetings
  • Develop and maintain record drawings
  • Review and approve all CAD drawings and spool sheets; once approved, send to Fab shop with delivery date requirements
  • Adhere to budgets by reviewing job specifications, submittal book and project cost reports
  • Project cost to complete reports to the P.M./Labor Manager
  • Monitor subcontractors work performance, quality, and progress
  • Advise Labor Managers, project managers of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc.; assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required
  • Perform take offs, submit appropriate requisitions, and coordinate the release of materials, tools, and equipment
  • Supervise, coordinate, and verify accuracy of Total Station activities on site
Leadership and Supervision of Crew by:
  • Orient and mentor employees
  • Communicate job expectations
  • Identify developmental opportunities for crew
  • Enforce systems, policies, and procedures
  • Delegate and follow up on assigned responsibilities
  • Assign schedules
  • Provide input to employee performance appraisals
Lead Strong Project Closeout by:
  • Manage jobsite clean ups
  • Complete and document punch lists
  • Initiate start up with appropriate parties
Promote and Maintain a safe work environment by:
  • Adhere to and enforce HPE’s and GC’s safety program
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area/work site
  • Lead HPE’s on site safety program
  • Co-facilitate safety meetings and inspections with EHS Director
  • Complete OSHA-required documents
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of:
  • Current construction standards, methods, procedures, sequencing, scheduling, tools and equipment
  • Contracts and relevant construction documents
  • Mechanical Systems
  • Building codes and regulations
  • Safety & Quality programs
  • Building relationships with all levels of HPE associates and external customers
  • Paying attention to details, troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Recognizing indicators to potential problems and acting accordingly
  • Working with and through others to accomplish goals within deadlines
  • Following and giving meaningful instruction
  • Proper use of standard Company field forms, take off procedures, and documentation requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 8 years of commercial trade experience with increasing responsibility and technical progression of commercial installation projects
  • Leading and facilitating safety programs
  • Past record of managing projects on-time, on-budget,  with exceptional quality and safety
