General Overview

Rotary International is looking for an engaging and analytical Product Owner, Email Marketing Automation who will work to manage and execute Rotary’s communications strategy leveraging our marketing automation software (Adestra).


This is a unique opportunity for the right person to join our team and improve our email marketing strategies and tactics for acquisition and lifecycle management programs.


You will oversee all workspaces in Adestra, and provide support and guidance to all users in all Rotary offices. You will help to create targeted, relevant and compelling email content. The Product Owner, Email Marketing Automation will identify enhancements to increase program and process improvements.


The Product Owner, Email Marketing Automation will analyze and report on email campaign performance, communicate results and provide and implement improvement recommendations.

  • Responsible for the development, management and optimization of all email campaigns
  • Applies email marketing best practices to ensure successful delivery and campaign performance
  • Work independently and with other teams to develop engaging and successful email campaigns
  • Manage customer/audience list creation and segmentation for email campaigns
  • Identify enhancements to increase program and process performance
  • Analyze and report on email campaign performance, communicate results and provide/implement improvement recommendations
  • Maintain project queue and ongoing campaign calendar
  • Collaborate with others to design and update email templates
  • Stay on top of industry best practices and email marketing trends
  • Ensures that cross-product dependencies are resolved in a timely manner (i.e. CRM data sync)
  • Builds a collaborative working relationship with vendors
  • Help users with questions, troubleshooting and support ticket submissions
  • Conduct training sessions as needed


Prior Experience
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience in email marketing and platform support; Adestra preferred
  • Must have knowledge of email marketing best practices and key regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.)
  • Experience monitoring and reporting on campaign performance
  • Experience creating targeted, relevant and compelling email content
  • Experience providing support and feedback to users and across teams
  • Ability to create documentation and train others on the use of the platform and email marketing best practices


College degree required.

Indirect supervision of cross-functional product team members.
