General Overview
The Content Strategist is a content champion for Rotary International, providing strategic guidance on leveraging compelling stories in all formats and across all channels to build relationships with audiences globally.
You’re a master content planner with next-level organizational skills and a nose for a good story who understands how to align business goals with an effective digital content program that gets the right results.
Whether you’re partnering with an account executive on a communications plan, managing content calendars, or working on a cool social media asset, you’re in your element when it comes to creative content programs.
This role partners with a variety of stakeholders to craft and deliver high-performing content programs that support strategic plans while staying in budget.
You Will
  • Understand business goals to create content programs that align to the overall communications strategy with measurable results
  • Ensure a consistent voice, tone and quality across all digital channels: websites, apps, blog posts, social, and traditional marketing collateral.
  • In partnership with internal stakeholders, build long-term content plans and short-term content calendars that will bring awareness, engagement, expanded reach.
  • Leverage research, data, trends, SEO strategies and volunteer insights to create content that supports future growth.
  • Proactively find opportunities to collaborate with partners throughout Communications and the broader organization
You Are
  • Experienced in content programming and/or copywriting role in a digital agency or in house marketing team.
  • A great communicator who likes to keep everyone informed, and is already ahead of issues/problems with an idea for resolution.
  • We look to you to be a self-starter; to figure out the unmet need and create a solution for it, to champion ideas and to stay at the forefront of the digital ecosystem.
  • We require that you’re a team player, a glass-is-full kind of person, and someone for whom no task is ever too small if it helps out the team or a client.
  • We’d like you to have at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3+ years with content creation experience working at both a strategic and tactical level.
You Have
  • 3+ years in editorial or content production
  • 3+ years’ experience with brand marketing
  • A discerning eye and ear and can develop multimedia content that aligns with and bolsters the Rotary International voice.
  • Knowledge of marketing and content KPIs
  • SEO and web traffic metrics familiarity
  • Social Media experience
