Rotary International seeks a DevOps Engineer (DE) who will work closely with the development and infrastructure teams to automate our application and infrastructure deployment workflows. The DE will lead our continuous integration and delivery efforts by building and deploying software, databases and configurations to all of our environments, from Development to Production.
The DevOps Engineer will join a cross-functional team of diverse staff at Rotary world headquarters, working with IT staff and management in our Evanston location as well as our remote technology staff and leaders in our Pune, India office.
Profile for Success
A positive outcome for this position is the successful automation of existing development methods of code integration, testing, and deployment as well as infrastructure delivery of environment creation and data refreshes.
Negotiation and navigation between the various product, project and infrastructure/operations teams will be necessary for the success of this transformation.

This position exists to maximize value of IT delivery by removing as many manual processes as practical.

The candidate in this position must be able work independently, setting goals and deadlines to achieve the necessary goals of the position. The DevOps Engineer must innovate and develop new methods of automation that reduce delivery timelines, improve repeatability and predictability, and enable improved quality of delivery with minimal direction, but be able to work with the teams to promote the principles of automation.
