​General Overview
The Regional Membership Development Coordinator position plays an important role on the Membership Development team by providing general administrative support of Evanston-based and remotely-based Regional Membership Officers. They support the activities of the regional membership officer team as they seek to: (1) increase clubs’ awareness and use of key Rotary resources; (2) help to increase the diversity of club membership in their assigned territory; (3) support overall club growth; and (4) improve member retention in clubs in an assigned territory. The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing or supporting key team projects and initiatives, assisting with monthly budget activity and the annual budget cycle, and may manage a number of different objectives, projects or activities at one time.
 
Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills required; experience working with senior volunteer leadership preferred.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Must be able to work independently and think critically with limited supervision.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects from the concept phase through development and implementation.
  • Experience tracking and approving expenses and maintaining accurate budgets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point required.
  • Non-English language skills or cross-cultural experience is helpful.
  • Working knowledge of association management and email broadcast systems a plus.
 
Responsibilities
  • Submitting expense reports, assembling and running membership custom reports, sending thank you notes, and fulfilling requests for membership resources and publications
  • Assists in travel logistics, including but not limited to: preparation and organization of materials to be shipped, and review and tracking of expense reports
  • Aides in the collecting and sharing of membership success stories and best practices
  • Works with the Rotary International Travel Service to complete staff travel requests
  • Submitting translation requests
  • Oversees office supply, publication and promotional item orders for team
  • Assists with regional membership officer out of office coverage as needed
  • Assist in preparing presentation and facilitation materials (Power Point slides, guides, handouts, etc.)
  • Special projects as assigned
 
Prior Experience
At least three (3) years’ experience in administrative support, office management, membership or related field. Non-profit association experience strongly preferred. 
 
Education
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), with international experience preferred
 
Budget Responsibility
Review and submit expense reports as needed
