Culmen International, LLC is hiring a Watch Officer to support the mission of Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction for Department of Homeland Security (CWMD DHS). This is a 24/7/365 watch services program for the DHS Countering WMD Office.  The Watch Officer will receive information, perform analysis of data, and draft products for review with the Technical Editor to be used by CWMD leadership.
 
Security Clearance Requirement: Current TS/SCI required to be considered. Must also have DHS Suitability in order to start work. Candidates with current DHS HQ Suitability will be given preference.
 
Role and responsibilities include:
  • The watch desk officers will take direction from the Site lead or the Federal Team lead. 
  • Monitor and review 24/7/365 all levels of information to include classified systems and folders for CBRN and medical related information as it pertains to CBRN and medical incidents and events.
  • Ensure the appropriate coordination needed to provide a complete operational picture for CWMD leadership.
  • Provide situational awareness and coordination of events occurring worldwide across the CBRN and medical mission areas and draft, prepare, and coordinate operational analytic products and report to inform CWMD leadership.
  • Maintain awareness of all-source information capabilities as it relates to CBRN and medical and DHS Operations.
  • Understand homeland security operational tradecraft and analytical capability of the CBRN and medical risk and threat to the homeland and develop high quality operational analysis products as they relate to the CWMD mission.
  • Coordinate with and across the Federal Interagency, DHS Components, CWMD, to include CWMD LNOs, as appropriate.
  • Support the DHS National Operations Center Crisis Action Team (CAT) for CWMD during Crisis.
Minimum qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance
  • DHS Suitability
  • Associates level degree in a related field i.e. (Homeland Security, Health, or CBRN degree)
  • 4+ years of related experience i.e. Military or Law Enforcement Operational or Intelligence experience.
  • Proficiency across the suite of Microsoft Office programs
  • Possess writing proficiency at an executive level
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Availability to work on-site daily at the Program Management Office (PMO) in Wash, DC
  • Ability to support a blended government and contractor environment
