This is an Administrative Assistant II position supporting the Department of Homeland Security’s National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center Support (NCCIC) - Information sharing is a key part of the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) mission to create shared situational awareness of malicious cyber activity. Cyberspace has united once distinct information structures, including our business and government operations, our emergency preparedness communications, and our critical digital and process control systems and infrastructures. Protection of these systems is essential to the resilience and reliability of the nation’s critical infrastructure and key resources; therefore, to our economic and national security. DHS's National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) is a 24x7 cyber situational awareness, incident response, and management center that is a national nexus of cyber and communications integration for the Federal Government, intelligence community, and law enforcement. 

 

General Administrative Specialist: Reliable and task-oriented Administrative Specialist to provide all types of general clerical, project management, and administrative support. Ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, efficient, resourceful, and capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced Federal government environment.  Candidate should possess strong organizational, project management and/or problem solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities; demonstrated ability to listen and follow directions, and communicate orally and in writing; and demonstrated interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools is preferred. 


Roles include: coordinating communications (calls, emails, client interface) for senior managers; preparing and reviewing basic documents/memos; scheduling meetings and travel, and deconflicting schedules; tracking and monitoring general administrative information regarding meetings and action items; preparing, assigning, and coordinating submission of administrative taskings; and maintaining an organized filing system of paper and electronic documents.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • US Citizen
  • Current TS/SCI Clearance and eligibility to obtain DHS Suitability
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • BA/BS degree
