Perform various internal and external recruiting duties with the goal of hiring the most qualified candidates by helping maintain management quality and provide administrative support as directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Achieves staffing objectives and goals while efficiently and timely working through recruiting processes.
Effectively communicate with hiring managers.
Actively seek qualified applicants through career fairs (on and off site), employment advertisements, college/university career fairs, community partnerships, and other recruiting sources as needed.
Prepares new hire personnel files, ensuring that all of the required new hire paperwork and background check information is completed and in the files.
Maintains the weekly recruiting report, bi-weekly manning table, quarterly recruiting reports, and other data reports for the organization.
Has a thorough understanding of the union contract and company policies. Ability to answer questions concerning union contract, non-union employee handbook and company policies. Answer employee questions.
Composes routine correspondence, including emails, letters and faxes. Utilizes basic office equipment and machines proficiently.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED is required. At least an Associate’s degree in organizational leadership, human resources, business or related field is preferred. 3+ years’ experience in an administrative position is required. Head Start/Early Head Start and/or human resource/recruiting work experience is preferred. Must have knowledge of full life cycle recruiting and basic statistical analysis. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to maintain confidentiality.
Prefer work experience with Paycor and Newton soft wares. Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and at least minimal coverage auto insurance. Must be able to travel locally and out of state, including some overnight.
