Family Development Service's Facilities Supervisor is responsible for monitoring maintenance and cleanliness of facilities occupied by FDS, including supervision of maintenance staff. This position provides assistance in the maintenance/facilities area for ensuring the Performance Standards are met by monitoring maintenance of building and grounds with assurance a clean and safe environment is achieved.  Ability to perform minor repairs and plumbing as needed and ability to serve as back-up maintenance in absence of Maintenance Technician as absences or vacancies occurs throughout program are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include

Assists Facilities Coordinator with contacts to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies, as directed.
Oversees and directs maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventive maintenance at all sites, as directed. 
Reviews all work orders for the organization and determines an appropriate course of action to address each work order submitted.
Assists with the development of maintenance and custodial procedures and policies for the entire organization.
Implements quality assurance activities including on-site visitation, program review, consultation and follow-up to ensure compliance with all federal/state regulations and laws.
Demonstrates an active understanding of role as manager and assumes responsibilities appropriately for the benefit of the entire organization.
Maintains building, performing minor repairs and routine painting and other tasks as assigned.  Examples include, but not limited to the following:  furniture repair, changing light bulbs/fixtures, minor repairs to playground equipment and etc.
Room set-up for meetings, as requested.
Assist with deliveries; unloading and distributing supplies or equipment as needed.
Responds to custodial/maintenance emergencies at assigned site, as necessary.
Remove snow and ice and debris from parking lots and sidewalks including use of snow blower and snow plows.  Spread salt on sidewalks and entryways as needed.
Follows agency procedures with regard to ordering and using cleaning supplies.
Monitor replacement and/or cleanliness HVAC filters or other filters where needed.
Notifies appropriate management concerning needs for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilating equipment.
Schedule lawn care and mulch turning at each location weekly. (Lawn care seasonal)
Training of new staff and ongoing training of current staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Shift: 6:00 PM- 2:30 AM

Job Requirements

Applicants must meet the following basic qualifications for consideration:

High School Diploma or GED

2 years of supervision experience and/or training

Ability to work normal work scheduled shift from 6:00 PM- 2:30 AM and weekends and overtime as needed.
Ability to work other hours as needed.

Applicants with the following qualifications are preferred:

An Associate's Degree from a university/college or technical school is preferred.
