The Manager of Data Center Sales will manage a team of outside sales representatives/account managers responsible for selling Eatel Business Data Center products and/or services.  He / She will provide leadership to obtain maximum sales revenue and attainment of corporate objective.  He / She will assign sales territories, train staff, set quotas, and allocate resources to ensure revenue targets are met.  He / She will also assist executives in defining organizational goals and strategic plans. 
  • Play hunter role, responsible for acquiring new clients, growing and maintaining business sales of Data Center Server services
  • Increase sales volume through a variety of new customer acquisition activities including partnership development, marketing activities, prospecting and events
  • Monitors and appraises performance of multi-regional Sales Consultants and reports progress and plans to correct substandard performance
  • Handles specific accounts assigned as “management accounts”, delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with Sales Consultants
  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly
  • Analyzes sales statistics and results to formulate policy and assist the promotion of sales
  • Represents the Company at trade associate meetings, community meetings, job fairs, and other events to promote products
  • Serves as liaison between sales and other departments within the company
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition
  • Other duties as assigned   
Lead Generation:
  • Pro-actively research and hunt for target organizations and establish communications with those prospects that can benefit from our services
Prospect Management:
  • Develop and manage the In-Field Business Development activities for prospects and assigned customers
  • Establish and maintains personal contact with customers to determine possible purchasers of company products and/or services
  • Develops and manages Channel Sales Strategy
Account Management:
  • Supports the Account Management Team in the administration of databases, bookings, reviews, forecasting and planning
  • Drives efforts to meet/exceed orders/revenue targets
  • Proactively manages customer segments to reduce overall churn activity and maintain healthy customer relationships
  • Prepare annual Business Development plan through research and experience.  Formulate market analysis and deliver accurate business reports; as well as prepare the annual work plan
  • Lead and develop staff by identifying training needs
  • Ability to travel
  • May supervise one or more employees
  • Supervision of staff includes coaching, performance evaluations, performance improvement plans, disciplinary action, new hire interviews, and, time sheet approval
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws
  • Attends and participates as appropriate in staff meetings and other meetings as necessary
  • Applies analysis and interpretation to common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Able to respond appropriately to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Comfortably and effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or Board of Directors
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience in IT and/or Data Center Sales or Consulting
  • 7+ years in Business Development or Sales
  • 3+ years as a Sales Manager
  • Extensive business knowledge with understanding of the Data Center and/or IT Services a must 
  • Experience selling IT and Cloud, Backup/DR or Data Center services
  • Experience analyzing customer needs and proposing “best fit” solutions
  • Strong communication (both oral and written skills)
