Job Description
Business Development Assistant Administrator:
The Assistant Administrator reports to the Assistant Manager and is responsible for coordinating and fulfilling the daily and weekly activities that occur within an assigned area.
Company Description:
NEX Operations Departments operate in a warehouse or a manufacturing environment and Associates are subject to moderate amounts of dust, dirt, and odors, primarily produced by packaging materials and the operation of propane-powered forklifts as well as noise primarily produced by production equipment. Temperatures during the year will vary. Frequently operate a computer, read, write and interact with others in person, over the phone and via other devices. They move about within the facility and may travel to other locations.
Business Development Assistant Administrator Functions:
  • Review space, manpower requirements, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services.
  • Identify, recommend and implement improvements in warehouse/ plant performance to optimize product volume, yields and quality in accordance with business needs.
  • Gather and evaluate appropriate data, utilizing statistical techniques, to improve process capability and/or identify root causes of problems, and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement equipment, procedure, contracts and process changes including design and implementation of improvement projects.
  • Provide technical advice and support to resolve unusual problems using root cause analysis.
  • Work with department managers to develop warehouse/ plant-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for process and equipment operation quoted by Customer Service.
  • Confer with management and other staff regarding process capabilities and other considerations to facilitate processes
  • Provide technical assistance to the warehouse/ plant in relation to process parameters and standard manufacturing methods, work instructions and processing
  • Assist in the design, procurement, and installation of new equipment.
  • Ensure all process changes are implemented and in line with company vision
  • Support and implement new product and process runs and prepare relevant documentation.
  • Work with Quality personnel on various projects.
  • Communicate regularly with management to facilitate continuous improvement and ongoing organizational learning.
  • Research new equipment and new manufacturing processes.
  • Work with ISO, 5S and Management personnel on ensuring that all processes follow  relevant guidelines
  • Other duties as determined by management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and or shifts to accommodate business needs.
 
Business Development Assistant Administrator Qualifications:
 
·        MOST certified within 3 months of accepting position.
·        Possess knowledge of logistics, warehousing and transportation functions.
·        Possess knowledge of production and administrative software applications.
·        Ability to take on responsibilities and challenges.
·        Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
·        Ability to manage one’s own time.
·        Ability to analyze information to choose the best solution and solve problems.
