Title: Electrical Engineer
Studio: Assigned Studio
Reports To: Studio Leader / Studio assigned upper level designer or engineer
Electrical Engineers work under general direction, applying their skills and expertise to generate solutions that require development or sustainment of new or improved techniques, procedures, or products. Responsibilities include assisting with planning, conducting, and evaluating approaches to meet project objectives in a timely, cost-effective fashion.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities
There may be direct supervisory responsibilities associated with this position. Studio directors may assign electrical designers or electrical coops to be under engineer’s supervision.

Possession of a designated level of technical skill, knowledge, and the ability to keep up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise. May be acquired through academic, apprenticeship or on-the-job training or a combination of these. Possession of knowledge of statutes/codes/regulations, including program procedures, methods and practices and their application to specific situations, usually acquired on the job or in lower level positions in the same or similar career path.
Engineering Review, Decision Making & Analysis
Knowledge of and ability to use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions and/or reaching conclusions. Ability to make decisions and take action consistent with available facts, constraints, and anticipated consequences. Identify issues, obtain relevant information, relate and compare data from different sources, and identify alternate solutions.
Identifies and plans for resources. Approves engineering designs and/or program/project specifications of other engineers/design professionals to meet desired compliance with engineering principles, standards, statutes, codes, regulations and design.
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S) from a four-year university or equivalent experience is required.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate preferred with goal of obtaining a P.E. license.
To be an Engineer in training requires passing of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
Any previous consulting engineering or construction field experience is preferred.
Preferred similar co-op experience.

Written - Writes clearly and informatively with a high level of sophistication; Presents numerical data effectively.
Basic computing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Access.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Design Master – Electrical, Visual or AGI32 and Revit is desired.
