Overview
The Transportation Provider drives facility bus/car to various places.

Responsibilities
  • Assists residents on and off the bus, utilizing proper lifting technique, gait belt use etc.
  • Ensures all residents are properly secured as required.
  • Loads/unloads packages, groceries, etc. belonging to the resident(s) being transported.
  • Monitors the corporate transportation calendar daily and arrange schedule accordingly.
  • Maintains the facility bus/car - cleans it inside and out, monitors and schedules maintenance per the manufacturer’s recommendation.
  • Records all service needs or repairs to the bus on Share Point.
  • Assists with basic maintenance duties (all sites) as assigned.
  • Assists materials supplies department as assigned.
  • Drives the facility bus/car for impromptu activities.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all residents, staff, and organization information.
Requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be insurable under the Shepherd of the Valley auto insurance policy.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must successfully complete SOV’s Driver’s Safety Training Program.  Must have a current Ohio driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Must maintain a satisfactory driving record during entirety of employment and driving violations will be immediately reported to the Corporate Risk Manager.  Must be insurable under the company auto insurance policy and maintain insurability.
