Overview
The Home Health Aide (HHA) provides various levels of assistance to our clients in the comfort of their own home. Our openings are wide spread varying between mornings, afternoons and evenings. Some shifts are 4-5 hours in length with the same patient. 
 
This position pays $9.08 (non-state tested aide) and $10.63 (Ohio state tested aide) an hour plus mileage reimbursement. We offer flexible schedules with a variety of clients. In 90 days you can become a certified with At Home with Shepherd as a certified Home Health Aide an earn up to $11.13 an hour.

Responsibilities
  • Establishes a strong rapport with clients.
  • Follows the client's care plan and provides excellent care.
  • Accurately documents services performed and of apparent condition of client.
  • Assists with activities.
  • Provides personal care.
  • Helps with medication reminders.
  • Assists clients into and out of bed, automobile, or wheelchair, to lavatory, and up and down stairs.
  • Performs variety of miscellaneous duties as requested such as obtaining household supplies and running errands.
  • Light housekeeping.
  • Meal preparation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must exhibit competency to perform duties as a Home Health Aide according to agency policy evidenced by verbal, written, and demonstration skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and proof of auto insurance.
