Shepherd of the Valley is looking for a Corporate Director of Human Resources to join our team!

We are looking for a Corporate Director of Human Resources with dynamic communication skills to manage the Human Resource department. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, coordinating and administering corporate human resource policies and procedures. This individual will also be actively involved in the day to day administration of benefits, recruitment activities, employee relations, compliance, coaching and counseling.
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends, employment legislation and insures corporate compliance
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel to ensure services can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of our residents
  • Assists managers with carrying out personnel matters
  • Annual review and revision of corporate policies, procedures and practices on personnel manners, insuring proper compliance is followed
  • Coordinates administration of wage and salary program through management of annual reviews
  • Coordinates exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation to identify and address trends
  • Directs payroll processing and benefit administration and enrollment
  • Develops and implements an effective recruitment program
  • Maintains a human resource system that meets corporate personnel needs
  • Directly supervises employees in the Human Resources Department
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field from a four year college or university
  • A minimum of five years of progressive generalist experience
  • PHR or SHRM-CP
  • High degree of confidentiality
  • Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
