To maintain all buildings and equipment throughout the hotel.
High school or equivalent education required.  
Previous hospitality experience preferred
Ability to maintain and/or obtain any government required licenses, certificates or permits
Assist with snow removal per each property’s requirements
Basic knowledge of chemical handling
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform general repairs and services in all maintenance related disciplines, including but not limited to: carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, minor electrical, finish work, painting etc.
Work closely with housekeeping/front desk to ensure guest rooms are maintenance and preventive maintenance free
Ensure that engineering employees keep all areas they are working in neat and clean
Assist Housekeeping and Front Office in minimizing downtime
Update and maintain engineering policies, procedures, work orders, etc.
Complete daily assigned tasks from project list
Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
Work closely with contractors on repair and capital projects
Maintain preventative maintenance on laundry equipment
Maintain at all times a neat and clean professional appearance
Understand hotel policies and departmental processes and follow them accordingly
Perform basic pool water quality tests and monitor basic pool equipment
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of the time performing each function to be solely determined by the director based upon departmental and hotel needs.
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards
Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests
Assist other maintenance associates in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas
Enforce hotel safety standards
Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Chief Engineer and/or Director of Engineering
Lifting of 40lbs or greater and ability to push and pull up to 250lbs
Bend, squat and lift up to 15lbs or more on a continuing basis
Ability to be on feet for extended periods of time
Manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
Must be able to work in a stressful, high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
