Hours and Compensation: Full time, Monday - Friday, Competitive pay based on experience.

Summary:  Responsible for the payroll functions of the company through the timely and accurate generation of payroll and benefits and the maintenance of required payroll files and records. 

  1. Process and review bi-weekly payroll for all entities utilizing a third-party payroll provider.
  2. Review and resolve errors caused by payroll edits.
  3. Analyzing payment and processing of department allocations, 401(k) deductions, etc.
  4. Partner with HR to maintain employee records and provide support on various projects.
  5. Maintain General Ledger coding in the third-party payroll provider platform.
  6. Administer 401(k) plan; including but not limited to review and maintenance of plan documents, yearly plan review meetings, yearly nondiscrimination testing, benchmarking, 401(k) committee coordination, reconciliation of weekly changes to payroll, employee/participant communications, communications with provider.   
  7. Preparation and filing of annual Health/Dental/Disability 5500 filings.
  8. Coordinating/Leading annual 401(k) audit and 5500 filings.
  9. Maintain records and accounts for federal, state and local payroll tax filings.
  10. Review and reconcile quarterly payroll tax returns.
  11. Review and reconcile payroll records to W-2/W-3’s and other yearly payroll tax documents.
  12. Assemble financial data for audits.
  13. Maintain and improve effectiveness/efficiency of the electronic filing systems.
  14. Maintain documented procedures.
  15. Maintaining awareness of current rules and regulations pertinent to payroll taxes and benefits.
  16. Maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion for all payroll items.
  17. Perform all other related duties as required.
Employment Standards:
  • Education – Associate's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, business, human resources or finance required.
  • Experience – Minimum four years payroll accounting experience with computer related background required. Proficiency in MS Office and QuickBooks preferred.
