SUMMARY: As a Housekeeping team member, you should combine a pleasant personality with a dynamic professional attitude and possess exceptional attention to detail. You will ensure our guests are welcomed and comforted by a clean and well-stocked room.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Go above and beyond the guests expectations at every opportunity • Responsible for cleaning hotel rooms while using and maintaining a clean and orderly cleaning cart to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms • Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways, often using ladders or stools to clean hard to reach areas, to maintain a clean, presentable and attractive facility • Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilet(s) and stall walls if applicable, wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sink(s) and walls to have clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms • Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature that has been removed by previous guest or is soiled and torn to ensure adequate supply for arriving guests • Vacuums rooms, public areas and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25lbs., and lifting/moving heavy furniture to vacuum entire area of carpet including underneath furniture and hard to reach areas • Inspects all room equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, radios) to ensure proper working order and immediately report all room status and room maintenance deficiencies, in writing, to the Executive Housekeeper for prompt repair/resolution • Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times in order to protect and preserve hotel property Minimum Requirements • Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment. • Must be able to speak, read and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and effectively communicate with management and co-workers. • Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Ability to lift, push and pull 30+ lbs. • Must have at least 2 years of current hotel housekeeping experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The position operates in a hotel environment. This role routinely uses cleaning supplies and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
