Position Summary:

The General Technician will report to the Manufacturing Cell Leader/Supervisor.  The major areas of responsibility for this position are:  validating part quality, packaging finished goods, and basic mold and machine maintenance.  It is each employee’s responsibility to safely produce quality parts on time for our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Startup/shutdown and basic troubleshooting of injection molding machines, automation, and auxiliary equipment within production cell on 12-hour shift

·         Responsible for validating quality of parts (flash, short shots, color, quantity)

·         Label and package product in compliance with work instructions and customer requirements

·         Basic mold and machine maintenance

·         Identify continuous improvement opportunities

·         Use computer, including SPC software, dial/digital calipers, gauges, and hand tools

·         Complete Paulson Training Program modules 1-7 within first 45 days

·         Complete Tool Room Training modules 1-5 within first year

·         Maintain 5S and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition

·         Other tasks and duties as assigned

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Ability to lift 55 lbs.

·         Willing to work 12-hour shifts including weekends, as scheduled

·         Qualified candidate will possess good work ethic, is reliable, self-directed, and dedicated to quality. Must enjoy a fast paced environment.

·         Team player who demonstrates the ability to relate to employees at all levels of the organization

·         Basic computer skills
