Position Summary:

The Operations Engineer Intern– Deltar Fasteners reports to the Manufacturing Manager – Deltar Fasteners and will be responsible for motivating positive and productive employee development, strong customer relations skills, coupled with high energy experience to mentor and motivate a team to deliver quality product on time.  This internship is designed to provide a hands-on experience and exposure to day-to-day operations. 


This position is located in Chippewa Falls.


Primary Responsibilities:

·         Hands on experience supervising employees including assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training of employees

·         Work with Cell Leader / Manufacturing Manager to plan and direct work assignments of direct reports

·         Learn how to plan and schedule a production cell using MRD.

·         Providing employees with productive communication regarding performance and solution based communication for necessary improvement requirements

·         Learn process of manufacturing parts as specified per job or customer requirements

·         Maintaining and contributing to a clean and safe work environment

·         Implements and utilizes 5S

·         Review and maintain high quality of all products within assigned work area

·         Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy for their parts and associated components

·         Required to communicate regularly with Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Quality Manager, and HR Manager regarding any problems and/or concerns

·         Other tasks and duties as assigned
