POSITION REPORTS TO: Senior Program Manager, MDS
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Education Coordinator provides logistical support to the Director of Education, Assistant Director of Education and Regional Program Managers in the coordination of the MDS education programs. This position is responsible for the successful implementation of: the logistics of live courses assigned by MDS Education staff; monitoring the Education email account; translation tracking of Patient Leaflets and CME activity support.
  • Coordinate and implement assigned aspects of the course preparation as determined by the Regional Program Managers.
  • Coordinate and implement participant application/registration as assigned by the Regional Program Manager.
  • Coordinate and prepare course marketing forms and liaise with Regional Program Managers and Marketing Department to implement.
  • Coordinate and implement the faculty management including arranging travel and processing payments as assigned by the Regional Program Managers.
  • Coordinate course materials preparation and manage shipment of materials to venues.
  • Liaise with Administrative Coordinator to monitor course materials and supplies.
  • Assist with post course reporting and budget reconciliation.
  • Responsible for monitoring and providing appropriate / timely follow-up for the general MDS Education email account.
  • Support Administrative Program Coordinator with Outreach activities as requested.
  • Coordinate course travel grants including creation of forms, application management and payment processing.
  • Coordinate the logistics of the MDS translation project for patient leaflets and other relevant educational
  • materials.
  • Support the management of all CME activities as delegated.
  • Work with internal departments (IS, TS, CS, Mail, Accounting, etc.) as needed for MDS projects or as requested by the Director of Education.
  • Interface in a professional manner with physicians, vendors, outside staff and others as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Approximately 1 week per year; some early morning/evening and weekend work required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Meeting planning and communications experience preferred. Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills preferred with outstanding customer service. Word processing and proficiency in MS Office Suite essential. Oral and written proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
Unrestricted mobility; occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required.
