At the NYU Langone Fertility Center, we understand the challenges that can come with building a family. Since 1992, we’ve helped tens of thousands of women and men to have children on their own timetables, using the newest and most advanced fertility treatments. Our primary areas of expertise include in vitro fertilization, also known as IVF, and egg freezing, also called oocyte cryopreservation.
 
The Fertility Center has partnered with Prelude Fertility to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered fertility care. Our team—including board-certified reproductive endocrine and infertility specialists, nurses, and lab professionals—focuses solely on the needs of people dealing with fertility-related issues, questions, or concerns.

The Physician Liaison is responsible for building physician (OBGYN) referral relationships in the surrounding areas of the designated practice(s); collaborating and implementing operations initiatives designed to enhance profile and reputation of the practice in the community.  The Physician Liaison actively supports and promotes Prelude’s commitment to providing compassionate, comprehensive, state-of-the-art fertility care to all patients.
 
Applicants should be highly organized with great communication skills. They should be comfortable presenting data to varied audiences including physicians. This person will be able leverage previous experience to complete tasks such as brand building, events and presentations.
 
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify referral sources and maintain and grow physician referrals through on-site visits to (OB/GYN) referring office, networking events, trade shows, community functions and patient education/outreach events that align with current strategies of the practice
  • Continually share feedback from the market to initiate, in conjunction with the appropriate managers, operations-based changes in our services to better serve our referring offices
  • Build strong partnerships with nurses and front desk teams in referring and prospective offices
  • Helps with maintenance and ordering of marketing materials for the clinics and the field
  • Research and recommend public relation opportunities
  • Identify and monitor competitor activities and efforts within the area
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to assist in developing brand and multifaceted marketing programs focused on attracting patients
  • Provide content and manage print ad creation
  • Collect and develop fresh content for publication on the practice’s website, as well as their social media outlets
  • Support established metrics and measures of success for all local referral efforts, including a metrics dashboard to report outcomes weekly, monthly and quarterly
  • Develop and implement regular strategic plans to increase referrals
  • Keep a pulse on the clinics new consults scheduled every week, no show rate and trends
  • Identify referral patterns and create strategic plans to respond to trends
  • Daily document visits in the CRM
  • Have a solid understanding of the infertility journey and new medical advances in infertility demonstrating expertise
  • Can articulate the many points of difference we have as it relates to the patient experience
  • Contribute to team effort by maintaining an excellent rapport and working relationship between patient services, other departments within practice and the Prelude Network
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Other duties as assigned, and in keeping with Prelude’s policies, procedures, compliance, standards of patient care and/or initiatives toward continuous improvement at the individual and organizational level
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working with physicians/providers, medical practice office staff, or other medical specialties
  • Previous experience in the fertility industry and/or interfacing with OB/GYNs preferred
  • Outgoing personality with superior oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who works independently and as a member of a team, taking initiative and meeting objective
