Our Healthcare Financial Coordinator is responsible for front desk activities within the practice but more specifically focused on the financial aspects of the front office such as collecting payments and financial counseling for patients.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
 
 
  • Check in and out patients including any collection of fees
  • Meets with Patients for financial counseling
  • Maintain accurate payment information in patient record. Communicate with the Nurse Coordinator/Finance Team regarding status of patient treatment options.
  • Prepare refund check requests and properly documented such requests before passing them on for approval by the Practice Manager.
  • Strong follow-up and organization skills.
  • Answers phone
  • Obtains Pre-certifications and Prior Authorizations
  • Submitting claims to insurance
  • Posting payments, processing checks as needed
  • Responsible for daily deposits
  • Answer billing questions form patients as needed
  • Respond to patient calls/correspondence regarding billing questions, financial policies, claims submission, etc.

 

Education and/or Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college preferred
  • Fertility clinic experience preferred
  • 1-3 years work experience in similar or related position or other office environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays, on a rotating basis with other teammates
