Summer Associate, Financial Services
The Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI) is the nation’s authority on consumer financial health. CFSI is seeking an exceptional graduate student Summer Associate to support CFSI’s Program Team, a cross-functional team that drives CFSI’s thought leadership and research, our consulting services, and our work to seed innovation.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Summer Associate may support the Program Team with tasks such as:
  • Develop research and share insights on consumer financial health in the United States.
  • Conduct analysis to help advise clients to design, launch, and grow high-quality sustainable financial products that improve consumer financial health.
  • Identify transformative technologies and approaches to foster promising products, services, and strategy innovations in the marketplace.
  • Produce supporting research to help maintain and deepen CFSI’s perspective on key areas of focus.
  • Support relationship management and event planning efforts.
The Summer Associate will benefit from numerous professional development experiences, including:
  • Learn about the nuances of financial health and the underserved financial services marketplace.
  • Develop meaningful, formative relationships within a small, fast-paced, high-performance team.
  • Develop an understanding of operations and strategy across the organization, while benefiting from immersion in Program Team activities.
  • Gain exposure to the complex interplay within the financial services industry and the ways in which CFSI seeks to influence its network of practitioners and stakeholders.
  • Participate in networking events with underserved financial service industry companies and organizations
  • Strong interest in CFSI’s mission in advancing consumer financial health and our values
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the financial services industry or related industry
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail and deadlines
  • Strong and efficient writing skills; ability to quickly synthesize data and present succinct, cogent arguments verbally and in writing
  • Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • High degree of flexibility to work in an innovative, fast-paced environment and readily embrace change
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, productively engaging with others at all levels within and outside the organization
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
Education Requirements:  Graduate School Student
Summer Associate Timeframe:  Temporary Full-time (Paid) - Expected to work 40 hours/week.   The duration for this internship will be approx.  12 weeks in the summer of 2019 - start and end dates are flexible.
