Working with the master data team and cross functional areas of the business, the Master Data Analyst is responsible for the capture, input and perpetual cleansing of key master data assets and the promotion of best practices and global standards for master data management.
In this role, the Master Data Analyst is expected to have a working knowledge and an up-to-date understanding of a supply chain organization including related processes and systems such as Marketing, Sales, Operations, Logistics, GS1/ECCnet, ERP, NiceLabel.  An awareness of the features, benefits and value of global standards for master data is considered an asset.
 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide cross-functional coordination in the collection, validation and input of data elements to support business and customer needs.
  • Participate as directed in the publication and maintenance of product data to our customers via outside data pools such as ECCnet.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the listing process of a product and the data assets requirements of our customers.
  • Work with the master data manager to develop and communicate governance processes. Help build awareness of the importance of key data topics and assist data stewards in the implementation of processes and procedures designed to facilitate data quality and integrity.
  • Identifying patterns and trends in data and define new data collection and analysis processes.
  • Work with the master data manager in the development of reporting metrics to measure compliance to and achievement of data quality goals.
  • Identify data quality issues and recommend solutions to support business requirements.
  • Participate as required on project teams with master data stakeholders.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the CN (change notice) process and related requirements from the master data team.
  • Issue, track and maintain GTINs for the commercialization of the products of the business.
  • Active participation in weekly CN Status and S&OP and monthly Stagegate meetings as required by manager.
  • Work with the manager to identify technology needs for controls, security and processing solutions for master data elements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative or related experience in a supply chain organization, preferably in operations or master data.
  • Hands on experience working with master data in a supply chain ERP system such as Acumatica.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and motivated to dig deep to find root causes.
  • Analytical skills to review data, recognize patterns and suggest remediation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross functional teams.
  • Critical thinking to look at the trends and data to formulate conclusions.
  • Attention to detail to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed in completing tasks assigned.
