The Label & Packaging Designer Europe position is a Portugal-based role responsible for generating graphic designs of labels, primary and secondary packaging and collateral product documentation. The incumbent will be part of Tilray’s global Creative team reporting to the appropriate person, with a dotted line to Tilray’s European team on day to day issues. Will utilize Tilray templates, style guides and content provided by Business Development, Marketing, Regulatory/Quality departments and personnel. The incumbent will work with Label Content Providers from label creation to development and execution. The Designer will ensure all requirements are met, approvals secured and appropriate document tracking followed. The Designer will work in cooperation with Pharmacy & Compliance Manager, Europe, on content for labels and deliverables in a version-controlled workflow. The Label & Packaging Designer Europe will deliver public-facing deliverables to projects including but not limited to Product Registration, New Market Entries, Portfolio Expansion and Product Development.  

Role and Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day activities include receiving Label Content Requirement forms and turning them into label drafts for review, approval, printing and affixing to packaging.
  • Coordinate closely with Subject Matter Experts on content requirements for labels and documents in various European jurisdictions.
  • Establish cooperation with colleagues in Quality/Regulatory, Marketing, Legal, BD units
  • Coordinate effective filing to ensure documentation, designs are secure and accessible 
  • Understand that tools and templates may not yet exist for many scenarios encountered
  • Adapt, develop and implement new tools and processes as appropriate

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Attention to detail
  • Five years of production design experience sought
  • Packaging & Label design skills
  • Ideal candidate would have knowledge of global standards for labelling and barcoding
  • Experience designing labels and packaging for goods meant for consumers or patients
  • Fluency in English required; other European languages a plus
