Reporting to the Vice President HR, the Director is responsible for creating global HR programs including Talent Acquisition, Development, Performance and Succession, Total Compensation, Culture and Engagement and Relocation Programs. Working closely with primary stakeholders, the Director will create innovative programs that will attract, develop and retain top talent. Tilray is a fast moving (entrepreneurial), fast growing (mergers & acquisitions) and exciting company (new industry) that will keep you challenged.   • Build first in class talent acquisition plan and implement.
  • Create a cohesive and competitive total compensation program for a globally growing company.
  • Lead company-wide job evaluation and appeals process and maintains job classification system.
  • Develop a strategic training and development plan to advance performance.
  • Create annual performance tool that recognizes performance results.
  • Develop with Executive team a succession planning program.
  • Create a mobility and relocation program.
  • Lead company-wide employee engagement program.
  • Lead the application program to compete for best in class organization.
  • Create employee communications to ensure company is appraised of valuable information.
  • Participate in the implementation of a new HRIS system.
  • Works closely with the Global HR Team to implement global initiatives across the all locations.
  • Manage the group insurance benefit program and retirement savings plan, including but not limited to, monitoring activities, claims experience, market trends, policy interpretation and liaising with suppliers.
  • Create a Whistle Blower program.
  • Administer compensation structures and incentive plans to maintain pay equity.
  • Bachelors' degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • A CHRP, CHRL or CHRE designation preferred.
  • 8 years’ experience in senior HR role, with exposure to global programs.
  • Experience and working knowledge within a sales and service business environment, preferably in manufacturing or pharmaceutical.
  • Must be experienced at effectively providing support and coaching to culturally diverse employees at all levels.
  • Must have a positive attitude, excellent relationship/communication skills, and be a demonstrated team player.
  • Possess the flexibility and aptitude to adapt in a nimble, dynamic, and changing organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and decisions at the management level.
  • Bilingual would be an asset.
