Facilities Technician Lead  - Petrolia
 
We are looking for flexible, dedicated, and motivated facility technician lead who want to be a part of a team that is passionate about our products and the success and growth of our business.  As a member of the Enniskillen High Park facility, located in Petrolia Ontario, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective cleaning of  High Park and its premises during a full time afternoon shift.
 
Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, Facilities Lead duties & responsibilities will include:
  • Fostering and role modeling a positive attitude; outlook, willingness to learn and contributing to company success in their teams
  • Ensuring the effective execution of facilities tasks within established company policy, procedure and requirements (Safety, Quality, Compliance)
  • Train, coach and mentor employees to work at a level of performance identifiable with world class organizations with the goal of continuous process improvement every day
  • Identify and communicate with Manufacturing Manager any plant health issues during the Bucking and Drying tray loading process
  • Responsible for effective completion of housekeeping tasks
  • Lead the cleaning of all areas of the facility, ensuring proper disinfectant procedures are followed
  • Clean areas, including office, production and manufacturing areas
  • Ensuring the right products are being used for the right jobs and that WHMIS protocol and safety expectations are being followed 
  • Restock materials and supplies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with required legislation regarding chemical products
  • Complete logbooks as necessary
  • Ensure completion of required training, including any required health and safety training
  • Any other duties as assigned
 
Demonstrable Skills, Experience & Education
 
  • One (1) year of previous custodial/janitorial experience
  • Minimum six months in a facility support position at the site
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • High level of attention to detail, especially with regards to paperwork
  • Must be able to schedule and prioritize work
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets
  • Prior experience or education in Health and Safety role is considered an asset
  • Must have the ability to obtain A/RPIC status as per Health Canada
