Labourer Technician - Temporary up to 12 months
The Labourer Technician, reporting to the Construction Supervisor, is responsible for all labour tasks involving plumbing/piping, air and water filtration, landscaping, grow supports, gutters, irrigation, drains, roof leaks, duct leaks, “handy” work, and general site construction.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring completion and documentation of all tasks assigned by the Manager, Construction
  • Construction, maintenance, repair and/or replacement of filtration, piping, ductwork, and insulation and greenhouse components.
  • Carpentry, general repairs, and upgrades.
  • Repair, replacement, installation and general maintenance of various facilities equipment.
  • Landscaping duties including lawn cutting, snow shoveling, tree cutting, general yard maintenance.
  • Manual labour including some heavy lifting, working from ladders, and outdoor tasks.
  • Lift heavy loads and navigate construction job site terrain
  • Perform setup and cleanup tasks
  • Provide labor support as needed for specialty crews
  • Identification and reporting of possible site unsafe conditions, work practices and hazards
  • Wear all required PPE
  • Any other tasks required by the foreman or supervisor.

Qualifications and Education requirements

  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Trade background preferred.
  • Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous task including working overhead.
  • Must have a minimum of 3+ years in a related field or working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tool usage and power tool usage required.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized
  • High work ethic with a desire to learn and grow as much as possible.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure
  • Ability to think quickly but in a controlled manner
