Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Technician – Petrolia, ON

We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic, and motivated Maintenance worker who wants to be a part of a team that is passionate about our products and the success and growth of our business. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Technician is responsible for all maintenance tasks involving Boilers, Chillers, Heat Recovery Unit, Circulation Pumps, Room sensors, Lighting tests, AHU’s and, generally, all the critical equipment.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Qualifying and monitoring all utilities (including steam gases, compressed air, forced air, heating, ventilation, power supply, and air conditioning) through the DDC system and take actions when limits are exceeded
  • Accurately documenting all tasks and work
  • Operating and maintaining DDC Software
  • Operating and resetting circuit breakers
  • Installing and reworking of 120V power (receptacles, light switches, etc.)
  • Replacing, repairing or conducting preventative maintenance to motors or pumps
  • Replacing, repairing, calibrating or performing preventative maintenance to instrumentation equipment (temperature/pressure transmitters, level switches, control valves, actuators, solenoids, etc.)
  • Conducting preventative maintenance for major equipment and variable frequency drives
  • Building and installing miscellaneous items as required
  • Repairing and replacing lighting, repairing and running piping, general cleaning, and assisting other Maintenance co-workers as required
  • Ensuring completion and documentation of all tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager
  • Working with other departmental leaders to create compliant Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must have completed post-secondary CEGEP/vocational or technical training
  • Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years related experience
  • Must have knowledge and experience using hand tools and low voltage (PLC) trouble shooting
  • Knowledge and experience with DDC, DCS, BAS, or BMS process control software would be an asset
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure with a strong attention to detail
  • Must be organized and able to document all work
  • Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications is required
  • Must have the ability to obtain A/RPIC status as per Health Canada Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations
