Reporting to the Logistics Lead the Secure Storage Supervisor will be accountable for the receipt, storage and organization for all inventory items. They will collaborate with packaging & QA supervisors to ensure uninterrupted supply to the production lines. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing direction, leadership, and change management oversight to the receiving, secure storage and material handling teams.
Roles and responsibilities
  • Accountable for the receipt, storage and stock rotation for all inbound materials and cannabis
  • Validation of inventory levels for cannabis and raw materials by overseeing frequent cycle counts, and verifying count discrepancy analysis, as well as reconciling excise stamps and reporting to CRA
  • Develop inventory metrics to aid in monitoring inventory levels, and minimizing risk
  • Identify areas for process improvement, to drive cost and waste reduction
  • Analyze business trends to forecast staffing requirements, and predict issues before they arise
  • Mentor, coach, and hold team accountable to safely deliver departmental goals. Also identify relevant training needs and skill development opportunities for team members
  • Ensure the efficient execution of departmental goals, targets, and objectives with established company policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Work closely with the manufacturing, & QA teams to ensure uninterrupted supply to the production lines
  • Must have either a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or 5+ years of practical experience
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics, or Inventory Management
  • Minimum of 3 years supervising a team, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated work experience in a “Just in Time” manufacturing environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight time constraints
