Working with Brand Managers,  the incumbent will manage end-to-end process for label creation and execution, working with project owners, graphic design team, legal and regulatory teams and production/operations teams, ensuring all requirements are met, trafficking and tracking all lables, approvals secured and appropriate document tracking followed.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Lead package process communication on a global scale
  • Collaborating with Global PM’s on different time zones and creating labels for various languages
  • Ensure all stakeholders – from concept through production – are contacted appropriately following the label process flow and all required approvals are secured and documentation completed
  • Help develop packaging standards, best practices, and SOPs
  • Work with regional production teams to understand all standards for packaging lines
  • Ensure adherence to all schedules for processes to ensure label projects completed on time
  • Monitor and recommend improvements in processes to increase efficiency/minimize risk of error
  • Develop team environment in department and resolve all packing issues in coordination with quality department.
  • Ensure compliance for unit barcode labels, the case barcode labels and what operations and shipping needs for each province and specific customers.
  • Follow global standards for case markings and labeling and package measurement rules according to very specific standards.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Project management experience required
  • 5 or more years experience in packaging/labeling manager role OR 8 or more years as a label coordinator
  • College diploma in graphics or a degree in project management
  • Sound knowledge of GS1 standards
  • Sound knowledge and management of Label control processes in an end-to-end fashion
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ideal candidate would have knowledge of global standards for labeling and bar coding
  • Very strong knowledge of printing processes and print production skills
  • Label experience is a strong asset but not required
  • Production skills are a significant plus
