Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Business Analyst – IT develops solutions to business and technology-related problems specific to the Finance organization. He/She is the person who provides the knowledge, skills, tools and techniques used to achieve success through the implementation and monitoring of the ERP (SAGE X3) in the several internal departments through a financial view. This includes analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve system capabilities. This posting is intended for someone with a Finance/Accounting background that can help the organization to implement SAGE X3 through automation and expanded system capabilities.
 
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify project requirements by interfacing with the Finance team; analyze operations; determining project scope; and documenting results
  • Document process flows; create procedure manuals for the functions performed
  • Facilitate technical meetings to define solutions, functional specifications, implementation plans, effort, identify resources and schedule activities
  • Contribute to the development of methods to improve business processes, reduce risks, and increase controls
  • Develop solutions; work-flowchart and diagrams; study system capabilities; analyze alternative solutions; preparing system specifications
  • Develop project estimates by identifying phases and elements, personnel requirements, and costs ERP system roll-out; support and development 
  • Develop and maintain financial systems by researching and resolving problems; working closely with IT and finance teams to maintain system integrity and security
  • Communicate information effectively to customers, vendors, managers, and technical staff
  • Understand finance workflows and how to use technology solution in support of that workflow
  • All other requests that help with the process flow of the finance team
  • Project planning/Tracking/Change Control – Integration and synchronizing project plans; setting up procedures and systems for managing and tracking change across the enterprise
  • Manage a project and project team to identify and mitigate technical/financial project risks, defining technical stream delivery plans and estimates for bespoke development
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Degree in Finance/Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years working as a Finance together with an ERP
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements and/or process workforce
  • Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications; especially Excel
  • Experience with project delivery framework or program management experience
  • Extended experience using SAGE X3 software is mandatory
  • Fluent in English, written and verbally
