Reporting to the Logistics Manager the Warehouse Supervisor will be accountable for the receipt, storage and organization for all inbound items. They will collaborate with Buyers, Production & Secure Storage supervisors to ensure uninterrupted supply to the production lines. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing direction, leadership, and change management oversight to the receiving, and material handling teams.
 
Role and Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the receipt, storage and stock rotation for all inbound materials
  • Responsible for validation of inventory levels for raw materials by overseeing frequent cycle counts, and verifying count discrepancy analysis,
  • Maintain a clean, organized and efficient warehouse
  • Identify areas for process improvement, to drive cost and waste reduction
  • Analyze business trends to forecast staffing requirements, and predict issues before they arise
  • Mentor, coach, and hold team accountable to safely deliver departmental goals. Also identify relevant training needs and skill development opportunities for team members
  • Ensure the efficient execution of departmental goals, targets, and objectives with established company policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Work closely with the buyers, manufacturing, & secure storage teams to ensure uninterrupted supply to the production lines
Qualifications and education requirements
  • Must have either a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or 5+ years of practical experience.
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics, or Inventory Management
  • Minimum of 3 years supervising a team, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated work experience in a “Just in Time” manufacturing environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight time constraints
