Territory Sales Representative - Southern CA - San Diego
 
Summary:
Territory Sales Representatives are the “eyes and ears” of the organization responsible for the projects and general in-store retail support for our natural and conventional retailer partners.  This full-time position is responsible for a territory and must have the ability to work flexible hours (occasional overnight stays/early mornings) and be in the field 4-5 days a week while providing timely feedback.  TSRs are responsible for partnering with our broker street team to achieve the highest level of success at our retail partners.  TSRs are highly motivated, dependable and self-driven individuals who are organized and able to meet or exceed project deadlines. 
 
A Day in the Life:
  • Store Support – assist with item sell-ins, building displays, store training, Pop-up events, rotation of products, category refreshes, new item cut-ins, remedy void and tag issues, and provide general guidance to the retailers across our portfolio of products.
  • Audits and Photos – utilize tools to audit store-level conditions and report back to your manager, including survey apps, shared files, and photos.  Act as the “eyes and ears” for our management and marketing teams, providing feedback and solutions regarding retail concerns.  Support our sales and marketing teams with valuable intel from the field.
  • Special Projects – conduct an array of projects which will vary from retailer to retailer, but which may include hemp event sell in and creation, intelligence gathering at store-level, rack assembly, delivery of materials such as swag and samples, and suggestive selling.  Other support may be needed for special events outside of your regularly routed stores. 
  • Broker Partnership – work closely with our broker partner street team in a collaborative manner to ensure the highest execution of our strategic goals at retail. 
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years Nat/Org Channel experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, hemp passion, motivational, team building, reliability and care to our retailer and broker partners, and hemp enthusiasm
  • Excellent skills in the following areas: presentation, negotiation, customer service, selling, communication, organization
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently while being a strong team player
  • Clean driving record, reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current insurance is required
  • Dependable, diplomatic person, able to problem-solve successfully with a wide variety of people and issues
  • Knowledge and interest of the natural products/brands and retail landscape is a plus
  • Proficient computer (MS Office applications) and data-mining skills- including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, One Note, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint & Forms.
  • Ability to read, understand and evaluate SPINS and Nielsen Data
  • Ability to manage time and deadlines
  • Ability to travel (approximately 80%)
