Reporting into the Manufacturing Manager & Manufacturing Supervisor, the Manufacturing Technician Lead will successfully lead manufacturing activities and aid in the ongoing improvement of daily operational processes within the Manufacturing department.  Focusing on performance indicators of team members throughout the processing areas. Continual focus on gaining efficiencies and increasing productivity in every operational process within the Manufacturing Department.
 
Role and Responsibilities
  • Fostering and role modeling a positive attitude; outlook, willingness to learn and contributing to company success in their teams
  • Ability to show initiative to communicate with their team, supervisors, management, and other site departments when needed
  • Ensuring the effective execution of Manufacturing tasks within established company policy, procedure and requirements (Safety, Quality, Compliance)
  • Train, coach and mentor employees to work at a level of performance identifiable with world class organizations with the goal of continuous process improvement, every day
  • Must have the ability to understand and complete all documentation required for all Manufacturing processes, following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as per company Procedures
  • Lead all Bucking activities, and teams in the Bucking Room during Harvesting.  This includes communication with the production harvest team.  Must have the ability to place team members, coach, train and maintain a level of productivity continuously throughout the day
  • Lead process for Loading Room, through to the filling of Dry Rooms. Must have the ability to place team members, coach, train and maintain a level of productivity continuously throughout the day
  • Lead Dry Room take down process.  This includes all tactile and moisture testing in preparation of the dry room takedowns, following all necessary Master Batch Records and company SOP’s.  Must have the ability to coach, train and maintain a level of productivity continuously throughout the day
  • Lead the Trimming room processes, including bud sorting & milling.  Continuously striving to produce the highest quality and quantity output every day. Must have the ability to place team members, coach, train and maintain a level of productivity continuously throughout the day
  • Identify and communicate with Manufacturing Manager any plant health issues during any Manufacturing Process
  • Responsible for effective completion of daily housekeeping tasks in each processing room and common space within the Facility
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Minimum six months in a Manufacturing Technician position
  • Ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
  • Basic computer skills considered an asset
  • Positive outlook and willingness to learn
  • Contribute to organizational goals and help drive company success
  • Maintain confidentiality and attain necessary skills/competencies
  • Ability to take direction and follow all company policies/procedures
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Positive contribution and personal commitment/responsibility
  • Ability to obtain A/RPIC status as per Health Canada ACMPR Regulations
