Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, the DDC Operator is responsible for all DDC control sequence tasks requested by the various departments in the facility.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Accurately documenting all tasks and work
  • Operating and maintaining DDC Software
  • Operating and resetting circuit breakers
  • Initial diagnosis of environmental controls and room conditions.
  • Accurately assess and troubleshoot problems in the various automation systems throughout the facility.
  • Understands when it is necessary to contact an E&I specialist, Supervisor, or Manager to further assess trouble scenario.
  • Understands what to do in emergency scenarios and who to contact.
  • Ability to take calls from the various departments in the facility and take appropriate DDC action to complete requests.
  • Works with Director of Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor to ensure department SOP documentation and JTO processes are up to date and meeting F&M department requirements.
  • Maintains the GMP critical equipment asset list and ensures that the CMMS system in relation to said list is current and operating as required.

Qualifications and education requirements

  • Post-secondary vocational or technical training an asset.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 to 2 years related experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with DDC DDC, DCS, BAS, or BMS (SCADA) process control software would be an asset.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be organized and able to document all work.
  • Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications is required.
