Supply Chain Manager
Reporting to the General Manager, The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for the establishment, maintenance and operation of the companies supply chain processes, including providing direction, leadership, planning, and change management oversight to the Planning, Procurement, Distribution and Logistics personnel. 
 
The successful candidate must be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with high attention to detail, and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Candidates must have excellent analytical capabilities, program management experience, be comfortable diving deep into data, have strong writing skills, lead executive-level reviews, and communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the company, both in writing and in meetings. The ideal candidate will not only raise the bar on driving schedules and deep diving into data, but is a person who actively participates with a strong curiosity to understand the business end-to-end, and has a track record of using data to influence decision makers. 
 
This role is instrumental in ensuring the integration of demand and supply at High Park manufacturing across all channels internally.   In addition, this position will support the creation of a demand plan and is responsible for planning inventory to meet sales forecasted demand and customer fill rate.
 
The successful candidate will interact with distribution, manufacturing, sales, marketing, forecasting and new product development teams to clearly understand the demand requirements as part of the S&OP process.
 
ERP modules including DRP, MRP, and MPS processes will be utilized to establish materials and production plans to meet demand within inventory, cost, service level requirements and constraints.
 
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Managing the buildings logistic activities to include plant scheduling, purchasing, inventory management, receiving and shipping.
  • Create and clearly communicate supply schedules, priorities, and status to multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design, develop and maintain scalable and reliable analytical tools, dashboards, and metrics that drive key decisions and resource prioritization.
  • Serve as a key member of the Supply chain team in helping to define and deliver complex supply chain strategies.
  • Understand the technical requirements of our partners and work closely with the internal technical teams to guide the direction of activities that will impact our supply chain.
  • Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders to help shape solution design.
  • Handle multiple projects at once, deal with ambiguity and rapidly-changing priorities.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate and accurate inventory levels
  • Analyze fluctuations in demand and capacity, and communicate updates to suppliers through the supply management process
  •  Ensure compliance with policies, standards and procedures governing the procurement and delivery of products and services for assigned product categories
  • Develop reports and procedures to achieve key internal operating targets
  • Provide oversite on inventory needs assessments based on operational needs and inventory levels
  • Developing and maintaining effective cost control measures and maintaining departmental budget
  • Identifying relevant training needs and training opportunities for all levels of staff
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have either a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management or 5+ years practical experience or a combination.
  • 5+ years' progressive experience in a Supply Chain/Logistics Management role, Procurement or Materials Management.
  • Strong math, statistics and analytical thinking required Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices is an asset
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts and theories
  • Exceptional forecasting ability with strong analytical and interpretive skills
  • Working experience in the Manufacturing industry preferred
  • Demonstrated work experience of successful “Just In Time” (JIT) management required
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments and key business partners
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Excellent time and project management skills
