Reporting into the Facilities Manager, the Manufacturing Support Supervisor is responsible for the successful cleaning and sanitizing of all critical manufacturing equipment and spaces. The Supervisor will develop cleaning and sanitization practices and policies that adhere to GMP requirements and align with Tilray’s QMS. The supervisor will be responsible for the scheduling of the MEST team and will likely be called upon to backfill gaps in the MEST schedule. The supervisor is responsible for training the MEST staff and ensuring that the team remains compliant with company training standards as well as facilities obligatory training policies. The supervisor will aid in the ongoing improvement of Tilray systems in strict compliance with Health Canada’s Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR), GMP, and GACP.  
 
 
Roles and Responsibilities 
  • Complete daily handover procedures to ensure that all manufacturing cleaning and sanitization requirements are met.
  • Ensuring the effective execution of equipment and room sanitation tasks within established company policy, procedure and requirements (Safety, Quality, Compliance).
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate frequently with not only the Facilities Manager but also those managers and supervisors directly affected by the performance of the MEST team.
  • Completing all required room sanitation reports, GMP paperwork, handover forms, and daily cleaning logs.
  • Responsible for identifying and escalating any potential equipment issues to the maintenance team or room owner in a timely manner. 
  • Leading the disassembly, sanitation and reassembly of all manufacturing and packaging equipment prior to the start of next day’s activities.
  • Delegating any daily housekeeping tasks in each processing room and common space within the Facility.
  • Demonstrated leadership quality with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and make effective decisions without constant management.
  • Maintain all departmental record keeping, such as: company training matrix, SOP upkeep, JTOs, and Master Cleaning Schedule.
  • Work closely with the individual room owners and the Quality team to ensure that practices are compliant and relevant.
  • Participate in the constant improvement of the Facilities Group with the intent to develop and maintain a professional service culture.
 
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment 
  • Ability to work in a results oriented, challenging environment
  • Basic computer skills considered an asset
  • Positive outlook, willingness to learn and contribute to company success
  • Maintain confidentiality and attain necessary skills/competencies 
  • Ability to take direction and follow all company policies/procedures
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Positive contribution and personal commitment/responsibility 
  • Ability to obtain A/RPIC status as per Health Canada ACMPR
