Act as procurement leader in setting the strategic direction of raw materials, packaging, services and indirect materials while ensuring stakeholders interests are kept in mind. Continuous improvement is part of the day to day, not only for procurement processes but also for functions impacted by procurement activities. 

Role and Responsibilities

Understanding the business

·Manage relationships with key stakeholders and business representatives

·Work with stakeholders to establish viable, cost effective, and strategic sourcing objectives for packaging and white collar services (facilities, insights, management consulting, mobility, etc)

·Enable the business to win, bringing external partners with value addition via savings, innovation, improved efficiencies

·Making any required adjustments or changes to existing relationships / contracts in order to reflect the business reality and needs

Understanding the supply market

·Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities

·Obtain the best deal for the company by negotiating terms and prices after analyzing and comparing financial reports and pricing proposals from several trusted suppliers

·Negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the defined sourcing strategy

·Routine supplier management and establish strong, strategic supplier relationships

Understanding the function

·Establish and enforce procurement policies and procedures

·Ensure responsible procurement practices meet company objectives and compliance requirements.

·Identify, develop and implement efficiency in processes, systems and communication as part of the procurement division

Qualifications and education requirements

Experience in a similar position (5 years) is mandatory, preferably in a GMP environment / pharma group

Outstanding communication skills, ability to create constructive relationships and influencing cross functional teams as well as suppliers

Ability to work in a culturally diverse, high paced organization.

Strong capacity to learn and to work independently, and highly developed self-management skills

Ability to think strategically to drive end-to-end value

Languages: fluent in English, Portuguese and / or German knowledge is a plus (writing and speaking).
