The Trade Marketing Manager (TMM) - West will be key in developing regionally relevant sales tools and programs while simultaneously supporting the operational business by ensuring supply accountabilities are being met.  This will be achieved by collaborating with national counterparts to develop, procure and provide our field sales team with the most effective collection of merchandising tools and rate of sale programs.  The TMM will support the Regional Business Manager by providing customized trade marketing solutions to a collection of Retail Key Account banners.  This will require an ability to think creatively while being able to bring projects to their completion.  Additionally, the TMM will own regional supply integration.  Being successful means there is clear alignment between our supply capacity and customer supply commitments.  Furthermore, the TMM will own all commercial communication as it relates to supply related updates and timing.  Based on the robust nature of the role, the TMM will be able to provide creative solutions while demonstrating a firm commitment to process.      
  • Develop, procure and implement first in class retail sales tools and merchandising tool kits.
  • An ability to maintain an awareness of cutting edge retail trends and insights.  Furthermore, an ability to distinguish where to focus our sales tools to ensure we’re providing maximum value to our retailers.
  • Maintain a clear line of communication between yourself and the field sales team with the objective of continuously supporting their needs to win in market.
  • Working alongside the Regional Business Manager to develop customized rate of sale programs that meet the evolving needs of our Key Account banners.
  • Ability to reconcile projects against pre-approved budgets and to provide routine status updates against a regional budget code.
  • Coordinate between internal and external logistics teams to ensure that supply commitments are being honored at both the wholesaler and retailer levels.
  • Proactively communicate all meaningful supply updates to internal and external clients.
  • Identify and action plan against supply gaps and challenges.  Demonstrate an ability to work cross-functionally to source critical information that will allow you to manage such challenges.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce or another related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of trade marketing experience within a packaged goods, beverage alcohol, pharmaceutical or related industry.
  • Experience in Key Account Management with a focus on government operations such as the BCLDB or AGLC is an asset.
  • Minimum of 2 years of budget management experience is preferred.
  • Collaborative within insight into user’s needs.
  • Innovative and creative.
  • Superior communication skills (spoke, written, comprehension).
  • Strong time management and results driven.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding and passion for supply chain management and execution.  
  • Experience in identifying root causes and building appropriate actions.
  • The willingness to balance both office hours and meaningful time in market.
  • Entrepreneurial in spirit while also leveraging the assets that come from being a part of a global company.
