Reporting to the Master Data Manager in Canada, the incumbent will manage the end-to-end process for label creation and execution. The role will work with project owners, graphic design, legal and regulatory and production/operations teams, ensuring all requirements are met, approvals secured and appropriate document tracking followed. 
 
Roles and responsibilities
  • Lead the package labelling process communication on a global scale
  • Ensure all stakeholders – from concept through production – are contacted appropriately following the label process flow and all required approvals are secured and documentation completed
  • Assist in the development of package label standards, best practices, and SOPs
  • Liaise with regional production and packaging teams to understand all standards for packaging label integrity and compliance.
  • Adhere to all schedules for processes to ensure label projects are completed on time
  • Monitor and recommend improvements in processes to increase efficiency/minimize risk of error
  • Develop team environment in the department and resolve all package label issues in coordination with quality department.
  • Ensure compliance for unit barcode labels, the case bar code labels and province/customer specific requirements
  • Follow global standards for case markings, labelling and package measurement rules according to very specific standards.
 
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • A natural ability to pay attention to details and quality
  • Sound knowledge of GS1 standards required
  • Sound knowledge and management of Label control processes in an end-to-end fashion
  • Advanced MS Office skills required
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ideal candidate would have knowledge of global standards for labelling and bar-coding
